What is a Submissive and what does it mean to me? A submissive is a person who makes a conscious decision to give up a portion or complete control of his/her life to another person. Being a submissive is about giving another control within the dynamics of a relationship whether it is full time, part time or occasionally. The submissive serves his/her Dom because it derives from his/her heart. It is not about the act of sex or play rather than the need to fulfill the Dominant/Master/Mistress wants, needs and desires. Being a submissive is allowing someone else control over his/her body and his/her behavior within preset limits determined by the intended Dominant/Master/Mistress and his/herself. Being there for his/her pleasure then his/her own.
Why is it a desire for me to submit? The answer is relatively simple, as a submissive it takes the burden of providing everything not only physically but emotionally, sexually and spiritually as well. It allows me to expand my limits and knowledge in a way that is safe and controlled allowing me to move past my barriers and reservations. Because of this it can lead to a sexually intense and an emotionally fulfilling experience. By allowing me to explore the depths of my sexuality and passion, and allowing me to go places that I alone would not go. Allowing me to escape myself.
My expectations in a D/s relationship is to receive unconditional love and support, while being able to open my heart and soul. To find the ability to remove my predisposed conditioning of a relationship from what has been viewed as socially acceptable to my wants and needs. To be able to relax in the world that was created for me filled with expectations, trust, faith, guidance, consistency, and protection. To allow myself to strip away the pretense, the secrets we are convinced nobody could ever love or understand. For the relationship to grow under care and guidance.
