On Normal Relationships

D/s is a normal relationship.

When one partner has seen better days, the other(s) step in to help. When one partner hits a roadblock, a problem that is outside of their wheelhouse, they turn to their partner(s) for advice. Even the Domliest Domme might need to be the little spoon some days, and a pulled calf muscle probably means no sex tonight. D/s partners eat dinner and watch movies, they play nerdy board games and probably wreck one another at old school video games from time to time. Some will have lively debates about politics or religion, others might take bike rides along the beach at sunset. And I know for certain that some stay up very late nights wiping the noses of feverish toddlers.

D/s is a normal relationship, just with a small twist at its core. And just like a “normal” relationship, it’s sole purpose is to meet the unique needs of the individuals involved, and none of it makes it better or worse than any other happy, healthy relationship.
