Vetting: From a Sub Perspective

Many times we may hear “— is under consideration” In translation we assume that — is the submissive and is being considered, the Dominant will decide if — is a suitable partner. This belief leads to the misconception upon entering this LS that;

Dominants consider: submissive’s are chosen
Dominants act: submissive’s are acted upon
Dominants choose: submissive’s are chosen
Dominants decide: submissive’s are decided upon.

This is not the case, which bring me to Vetting. What is vetting? Vetting is the process of examination and evaluation of a person to see if they “qualify” for the position in this case to be your Dominant.

When vetting a prospective Dominant there are some important things to consider:

1. Take your time - There is no need to rush. If you rush you may find you missed important information.
2. Don’t believe their word on their own resume - Ask questions then ask questions again, get references on previous subs. Or have an alternative method to finding answers.
3. Don’t believe everything
4. Interview - I can’t stress enough this part ASK QUESTIONS. Likes, dislikes, limits, what they want in a submissive, preferred tools for spanking, punishments, how do they train, what type of Dominant they classify with, what form of plays are they most comfortable doing.
5. This is the most important…. YOU NEVER REALLY KNOW…. - No matter how much time you spend vetting there are no guarantees. Mistakes occur, miscommunication happens, and sometimes people are really good liers. Always have safety precautions in place.

Submissive’s when looking for a potential Dominant it’s easy to fall in a sub frenzy and get swept in the moment. You to are considering, choosing and ultimately deciding. Don’t be quick to pick up a Dominant just because they give themselves that title.

EVEN A MOST WELL SEASONED SUBMISSIVE CAN BE TAKEN BY SURPRISE…
